Naturopathic Adjunctive Cancer Care uses naturopathic principles to complement & support conventional medical cancer treatments including but not limited to surgery, chemotherapy, targeted therapy & radiation; with the goal of addressing the whole person. Dr. Nadia Mawji, ND has obtained a Fellowship in Integrative Cancer Therapies from the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine in 2018.
Conventional medical treatments are incredibly important! A major focus in adjunctive cancer care is aiming to ensure that naturopathic modalities do not interact with conventional medical treatments. Dr. Nadia Mawji, ND's primary goal in adjunctive cancer care is to support patients through conventional medical treatments, so that patients may be able to complete necessary treatment cycles with minimal side effects and without compromising the intended purpose of conventional medical treatments.
Patient education is integral. Contrary to popular belief, not all supplements are safe to take with various types of cancers. Please note that for safety reasons, Dr. Nadia Mawji, ND may make recommendations to stop certain self-recommended supplements if they negatively interact with conventional medical therapies.
