Hormone Support
Hormones play a role in health & wellbeing.

Fatigue, difficulties losing weight, hair thinning, skin tags, not waking up rested in the morning, acne, non-optimal sleep, PCOS, PMS, uterine fibroids, chronic stress, perimenopause, menopause (...the list can go on...) - many of these symptoms are common, but not necessarily normal. Depending on the circumstances, assessments/tests may be helpful. Many hormone-related conditions & symptoms are a result of more than just the endocrine (hormone) system alone. There may be more than one system involved and perhaps what seems to be a hormone-related issue may not be! Naturopathic Medicine approaches may help to address the root cause of symptoms and help provide insight into health concerns.
Metabolic Support
Metabolism = breakdown of nutrients, hormones & other products in the body.
Cardiovascular, hormone, nutrient & neurotransmitter markers - all of these may provide information regarding metabolization. The liver plays a major role in a variety of bodily processes by facilitating the breakdown and excretion of byproducts, hormones and more in the body. Our metabolic health provides insight into how our bodies operate. Naturopathic medicine aims to look at all body systems as a unit. Examples of metabolic health-related disease and the conditions that these may progress to include: cardiovascular disease (high blood cholesterol, high blood sugar, high blood pressure - Type 2 Diabetes), polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), thyroid/other hormone-related conditions, and more. Metabolic disease may be acquired or hereditary or both. Naturopathic medicine may help to support these metabolic processes & conditions.

chronic disease Support
Chronic disease often develops over time. Genetics & environmental factors may be contributing factors.

Although prevention of any condition cannot be guaranteed, routine screening (if indicated), blood work & assessment may help to address issues sooner rather than later. Naturopathic medicine modalities may be beneficial in helping to optimize health and supporting medical treatment plans. The foundations of health - adequate nutrition, exercise & sleep - are being researched widely in chronic disease. Naturopathic medicine may provide accountability support, guidance & tools to navigate chronic disease.
autoimmune Support
There are a variety of autoimmune conditions affecting different parts of the body.

Autoimmune disease may present with a myriad of symptoms. At times, it may take time to receive an official diagnosis due to the complexity of symptom presentations and diagnostics. Naturopathic medicine may support patients through treatments recommended and prescribed by their medical team. Naturopathic doctors are able to identify which natural health supplements are safe to take alongside medications, if indicated. Nutrition & lifestyle changes may have a positive influence on chronic disease outcomes.

adjunctive Cancer care
There is no cure for cancer. Naturopathic medicine does not treat cancer. Naturopathic Medicine may help support patients during the completion of conventional medical treatments and the nature of this support can vary from patient to patient. This is referred to as Naturopathic Adjunctive Cancer Care.
There are research-informed naturopathic modalities that may support cancer related fatigue and chemotherapy/targeted therapy-induced symptoms (e.g. nausea, peripheral neuropathy, vasomotor symptoms, etc.).
