Full Physical Examination
A physical examination consists of taking blood pressure, heart rate, height, weight and performing respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, musculoskeletal, gastrointestinal, eyes, ears, nose throat and thyroid examinations. A full physical examination should be completed annually with the purpose of monitoring one's health closely and are also done when a patient presents with a particular symptom.
Breast & Gynecological Examinations
Breast and Gynecological examinations are important in the screening of reproductive cancers.
Digital Rectal Examinations (DRE)
Digital rectal exams (DRE) are used to assess prostate health. The PCA3 test is analyzed with a specimen produced after a DRE. DRE can be used for prostate cancer screening, benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH) detection and specialized testing.
